Stratford University Chooses SunGard Higher Education To Help Improve Administrative Services

PowerCAMPUS UDC Will Provide Administrative Platform To Help Support Future Enrollment Growth

MALVERN, Pa, June 25, 2009 — Stratford University has licensed the PowerCAMPUS Unified Digital Campus (UDC) from SunGard Higher Education to help enhance administrative functions at the institution.  The solution will help improve the education experience for the University’s internal and external constituents while providing a foundation to support future enrollment growth.

“The PowerCAMPUS UDC will help us provide our growing population with an easier way to interact with the University.  The self-service features and ease of access to information will help create a quality administrative experience that is in step with the superior experience that Stratford strives to deliver in academics,” said John Dovi, chief financial officer, Stratford University.  “PowerCAMPUS will also give us a platform to help meet the needs of our future enrollment growth, while providing our senior executives with the data and managerial metrics they need to best manage the University.”

The private Virginia institution licensed the PowerCAMPUS student solution and the PowerFAIDS financial aid solution.  Population at the Virginia institution grew by more than 250 percent - from 457 students in 2005 to its current enrollment of 1,200 students.  The University recently opened a second campus and plans to open at a third location in the near future.

“Many administrative processes at the University must be performed manually and our current operating system has limited reporting features,” said Mr. Dovi.  “The PowerCAMPUS UDC will help us streamline and automate routine administrative tasks.  The self-service features will make it possible for faculty, students and alumni to perform many functions, like registering for classes and applying for financial aid, online.  And delivered reports will provide information to help us work efficiently and make smart decisions for the future of our institution.”

“The increasing enrollment at Stratford University is a testament to the inviting and successful learning environment that they have created,” said Renee Pacini, vice president, PowerCAMPUS, SunGard Higher Education.  “By implementing the PowerCAMPUS UDC, they can extend the superior Stratford experience throughout their administrative processes.”
